We build and run websites and manage Google Business Profiles for local small businesses. This policy explains what information we handle, why, who helps us, and the choices you have. It covers three groups of people:
- Visitors to awsoft.dev and to the free previews we build;
- Our clients — the businesses that sign up for our plans; and
- Visitors to our clients' websites, including people who submit a contact form.
1. Information we collect
From our clients and prospective clients
- Contact and billing details: name, business name, email, phone, billing address, and the domain you request. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we don't see or store your full card number.
- Business content you send us: hours, services, photos, logos, and text.
- Access you give us to your Google Business Profile, and the messages we exchange with you.
Public business information. To build free previews and contact businesses about them, we use publicly available business information (such as name, address, phone, website, category, rating, and hours) from sources such as Google Maps / Places.
From website visitors (ours and our clients')
- Technical information our hosting provider processes automatically to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested.
- Aggregate usage statistics (page views, referrers, device type) through Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves. It doesn't use cookies to track you, and this data isn't shared with an analytics company.
From people who submit forms on a client's website
- Whatever you enter, typically your name, email, phone, and message, so it can be passed to the business you're contacting. Submissions are sent by email through Resend.
Email forwarding for clients. If a client uses our free email forwarding (for example, info@theirdomain.com forwarded to their own inbox), we set it up through ForwardEmail with the destination address the client gives us. Messages sent to that address pass through ForwardEmail on the way to the client. On the free ForwardEmail setup, the client's destination address is published in the domain's public DNS records and can be seen by anyone who looks it up.
2. How we use information
- To build, host, and maintain websites and manage Google Business Profiles for our clients.
- To deliver contact-form submissions to the business they're meant for.
- To bill clients, provide support, and send service and account emails.
- To contact businesses about previews we've built for them (and to honor any request to stop).
- To keep our services secure, fix problems, and understand overall site usage.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Our role for clients' websites
When you submit a form or browse a website we run for one of our clients, that business is responsible for your information and decides how to use it. We own and operate the site as a service for that business and act as its service provider: we host the site, process your submission, and deliver it to the business. We don't use it for our own marketing, and we keep it only as long as needed to deliver it and run the service (see Section 6). For questions about what a business does with your inquiry, contact that business directly. If you contact us instead, we'll pass your request to them and help them respond.
4. Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run our services, and only what they need:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business (in which case this policy continues to apply).
5. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), multi-factor authentication on our accounts, and limiting access to people and systems that need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. How long we keep information
- Client site content: while you're a client, then deleted from our live systems within 30 days after the 30-day post-cancellation export window, with backups expiring no later than 35 days after that.
- Unaccepted previews: deleted within 30 days of you declining or not signing up (backups no later than 35 days after).
- Contact-form submissions: kept only as long as needed to deliver them and run the service. (Exact period to be set — see NOTES.)
- Billing and tax records: 7 years. Client contact and account records: for the relationship plus 3 years.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you. Email us at info@awsoft.dev. We'll verify your request, acknowledge it within 5 business days, and complete it within 30 days. If we must keep something by law, we'll tell you what and why. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
If your request is about information you submitted on one of our clients' websites, we'll forward it to that business and help them respond.
8. Cookies
Our sites use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to run and secure them, Our analytics (Umami, self-hosted) doesn't set tracking cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and aren't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes
We'll post any update here with a new effective date, and email clients about significant changes.
